a. Information You Provide Directly

- Recipe content: Recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, notes, and links you add.
- Uploaded content: Images or notes you choose to store with recipes.
- Shopping list items: Items you add to grocery lists within the app.
b. Anonymous Analytics and Telemetry
- CookPilot collects limited anonymous telemetry to understand how features are used and to improve performance.
- Examples include screens visited, buttons tapped, feature usage, and application errors.
- This telemetry is not linked to your account, email address, recipes, or other personal information.
- Analytics may be processed by services such as Firebase Analytics in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
c. Device and Diagnostic Information

d. Information from Third Parties
- AI processing: When you use AI-powered features such as “Edit with AI,” portions of recipe text (ingredients or instructions) may be sent to third-party AI service providers to generate responses.
- CookPilot does not intentionally include personal account information (such as email addresses) in these requests.
- AI providers may temporarily retain limited request logs for service monitoring or abuse prevention.
- Users should avoid entering sensitive personal information into AI prompts.
- External recipe sources: When you save recipes from websites, CookPilot may store the link to that site but does not control the content of external websites.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain CookPilot’s core features
- Sync recipes and preferences across devices
- Generate AI-assisted recipe edits when requested
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Analyze aggregated usage patterns to improve features

We do not sell your personal information.
4. Improving AI Features
CookPilot may analyze anonymized or aggregated usage patterns to improve the quality and reliability of AI-powered features.
This may include evaluating how recipe edits perform or improving prompt design and formatting logic.
CookPilot does not use user content to train external AI models.
5. How We Share Information
- Service providers: Trusted infrastructure providers such as Firebase (Google LLC) used for authentication, database, storage, and analytics.
- AI providers: Third-party AI APIs used to generate responses when AI features are used.
- Legal compliance: When required by law or legal request.
- Business transfers: If CookPilot is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
CookPilot does not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active.
When you delete your account, your associated recipes, account information, and preferences are removed from our primary systems.
Backup copies may remain temporarily for security or disaster recovery purposes before being automatically deleted.
